Skip a Stone

Skip a stone. Then skip it further.
You're a kid on the bank with a pocket full of rocks. Run up, let go at the edge, and tap every time the stone kisses the water. Hit the timing and it skips on. Miss it and it sinks.
Start at the garden pond. End up throwing across the ocean.
How to play
- Hold to run up. Let go in the gold zone for a perfect release. Too far and you're in the water.
- Tap right as the stone touches down. The ring turns gold when it's time.
- Perfect taps stack a streak. The streak window gets tighter the longer it goes.
Space, mouse click, trackpad tap or touchscreen. One button, all skill, no random crits.
What's in it
- 6 waters: garden pond, village lake, river, harbour, channel and the open ocean. Each one is bigger than the last.
- 10 rocks to find and buy, from a garden pebble to a meteorite that's still warm. Every rock throws and skips differently.
- 18 stars: each water has three challenges. Cross it, hold a perfect streak, and bounce off ducks, logs, boats and whales in one throw.
- Ducks fly off, fish jump, gulls circle, the sun goes down as you go further out.
- A calm CC0 soundtrack and a pause menu. Your progress saves on its own.
A full run is about 20 to 30 minutes. Chasing every star takes longer.

Very fun and simple but that rapid zoom in & out feels really bad. I don't know if anyone would have motion sickness seeing that but I feel slightly dizzy seeing the zoom in & out when the rock is going very fast, especially when there's stuff in the background like the trees or buildings. the ocean, fortunately, doesn't have any background on it, so the rapid zooming isn't as bad (though the timing of perfect through still sucks pretty badly), which makes the ending pretty chill all things considered. I'm not sure what would help, maybe make the parallax background decoration not move so much when things are moving fast? or even reducing the speed of which it zoom in & out so that it feels less snappy and more smooth... I'm not completely sure myself.
